The employees of the Department offer the opportunity to carry out expert opinions, analyses, projects and technical studies in the field of:

• assessment of the technical condition of buildings and building elements
• assessment of the technical properties of construction materials and products in accordance with applicable standards
• thermal protection and energy efficiency of buildings
• building, architectural and urban acoustics
• energy audits
• ecological construction 

In addition, training and consulting in the field of BIM technology in general construction.

Laboratory tests are performed in the accredited Construction Laboratory located at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture, LUT.

The employees of the Department take part in R&D projects in cooperation with entrepreneurs.
